As you perhaps know already, Nokia N86 out and now all official. Named Nokia N86 8MP, it has the first 28mm wide angle lens on a cell phone. There’s also a kickstand, and the rest of the specifications are familiar to what Nokia N85 already offers.

The new Nokia N86 8MP is the first 8 megapixel camera phone to sport a wide 28mm lens. There are other goodies included as well  such as a mechanical shutter as on the Samsung INNOV8, allegedly a new, better Carl Zeiss lens.

Disappointingly, there’s only a dual LED flash on board the N85 8MP. However according to Nokia, the LED flash is a third generation one and should effectively work at distances of up to 3.5 m.

The Nokia N86 8MP is the first device with a variable aperture ranging from F2.4/3.2/F4.8. That means the device performs better in low light  thanks to the wider aperture of F2.4 and takes sharp shots in bright daylight thanks to the F4.8 aperture value.

The other goodies attached with the Nokia N86 8MP include 8GB of internal memory, a microSDHC card slot, a 2.6-inch OLED screen, FM transmitter, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity, a 3.5mm audio jack and TV out. There’s also quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA support for a truly worldwide voice and data roaming.

The Nokia N86 8MP will start retailing in Q2 2009 with an estimated price of 375 euro, before taxes and subsidies.
