After the announcement on the Nokia events page named “Your music player is ringing” it was rather predictable that there will be some announcements to come about Xpressmusic handsets and here they come finally. Although there isn’t any ground shaking handset to check out still new three members are officially added to Xpressmusic lineup.

Nokia 5730 XpressMusic

The first and the best in terms of features of the additions is Nokia 5730 Xpressmusic which was already seen around the internet for a while. We already knew it had QWERTY keypad as a music handset which was unique and now it is official.

Among the features there are Symbian S60 operating system, 2.4” 16M color QVGA display, Wi-Fi, USB, 3.2MP snapper, 3G video call support and GPS receiver.

Since the music is the main focus, there is also 3.5mm audio jack, stereo Bluetooth support and FM radio on board. Also there will be 8GB memory card included in your retail package to store your music.

The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic share some common exclusive features with the Nokia 5630 which was presented last month in MWC. These include the N-gage support and the Say-and-play feature. Using this feature you can control your music player without using your hands, so it would be easy to change your music while you are performing some other job. Also you can check out what your friends are listening in Ovi.

The release date for the Nokia 5730 is set for Q3 2009 which is far enough to wait and see and its price tag is expected to be around 280 euros. Also the wide range of color options vary from Red, Monochrome, Blue to even Pink.

Nokia 5330 XpressMusic

Second on the list is a handset which we never seen before, the Nokia 5330 Xpressmusic. It is a modest version of the 5730 with S40. Other features include 2.4” 16M display and 3MP snapper with fixed focus. Also there is 3.5mm audio jack, stereo Bluetooth and stereo radio on the board. Uniqueness of the phone is its touch sensitive keys to control its music box.

As for the connectivity, there is Nokia Maps, quad band GSM and tri-band HSDPA support but this time no Wi-Fi available. Finally 2gb microSd will be given along the retail package.

Release date for the Nokia 5330 Xpressmusic is again Q3 in 2009 with expected price of 160 euros.  Also there are 2 color options for the device including Black-Red and Silver-Blue.

Nokia 5030 XpressRadio

Nokia 5030 is unique but cheap mobile handset with internal FM radio antenna. The benefit for this is the ability to listen radio without plugging in any headsets. Another thing is the brand name XpressRadio which we hear for the first time.

The device has easy control keys for the radio, like one touch controls and the station choice keys on the side. Also if you put it on the tabla sideways, you would resemble it to a FM radio walkman rather than a mobile handset.

Another specialty about the XpressRadio is the new set of features it brings to entry level handsets. It has built-in flashlight and speaking clock and alarm, dual band GSM support and S30 UI on board. Also its display is 1.8” and 128×160 pixels of resolution.

The release date for the Nokia 5030 XpressRadio is sooner Q2 in 2009 and it will be one of the cheapest handsets which offer radio with its price of 40 euros and color options of red and graphite.
