Today Nokia announced its latest star the Nokia 6260 slide which will hit the shelves soon with its spectecular features list. On the top of the list we can see 320 x 480 pixels display, 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lenses and of course lately very popular Wi-Fi and GPS. Also this features are run on the latest S40 edition user interface.

The outlook for the Nokia 6260 slide is not very different. As we are familiar with latest 6000 line, it has the same look. Especially it shares its design with the Nokia 6600 slide and Nokia 6210 Navigator. However with its superior features it is a candidate to be the best handset among S40 mobile phones.

When it comes to talk about feature list, there is a long list to tell about. Among the communication features, it has quad-band GSM support with HSDPA 10.2 mbps, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS receiver with GPS support.

In its display Nokia 6260 possess 2.4” 16M color display with the one-off resolution of 320 x 480 pixels (HVGA). As a snapper it has 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, but only disadvantage would be 15fps VGA recording quality, which is common among S40 phones.

As for the internal memory, it has 200MB memory and expanded with microSD cards up to 8GB cards. Furthermore nice features are added to S40 handset for the first time like 360-degree D-pad ana Nokia WebKit Open Source browser, which is a special browser for mobile phones that enables you to use a virtual mouse pointer interface, incremental page rendering, visual history browsing and page mini-map. And final addition to S40 features is Flash Lite 3, and using it you will be able to watch flash videos from your handset.

Finally as a classic for higher range Nokia phones, there is a stereo Bluetooth, 2.5mm A/V hack with TV-out and microUSB port is available on Nokia 6260 slide.

The release date for the Nokia 6260 slide will be on January 2009 with beige and black color options so far, and its price is expected to be 299 euro before taxes and subsidies, so it will be a nice competition between expected E series smartphones. However it is especially a nice phone for younger people who cannot afford N series phones especially with newly introduced features for S40 line.
