Nokia announced today that Prism design is no more an expensive mobile handset. Nokia announced four mobile handsets including a Nokia 7070 Prism, the Nokia 1680 classic, the Nokia 2680 slide and the Nokia 5000. Four new cell phones target the “replacement buyers.” So if you like to use a basic cell phone and want to change it with a phone that has recently popular features, these fit for you.

First mobile phone is the Nokia 7070 Prism which is a compact dual band clamshell. Its features include 65K TFT display with 128 x 160 pixels resolution and 78 g weight.Also the Nokia 7070 Prism has 11MB of user memory for MP3 storage and 1000-entry phonebook. Its other features are GPS support and e-mail client, but there is not USB or Bluetooth support for file transfer and a camera. The Nokia 7070 is available with Pink or Blue color options and its price will be around 50 Euros in Q3 2008.

The Nokia 5000 has a thin 11.1 mm design with various lively color options. It has a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio, music player and Bluetooth support, also it features GPRS, EDGE and email support.

Other features of the Nokia 5000 include S40 user interface and QVGA resolution of its 2″ 65K TFT display. The Nokia 5000 is expected to be on market with Cyber Green, Neon Blue and Perfect Purple colors in Q2 2008 and its price will be around 90 euros.

The Nokia 2680 Slide has features including VGA camera, 65K color TFT display with 128 x 160 pixel resolution and Bluetooth support, FM radio and MP3 ringtones support. Other features of the Nokia 2680 Slide include email client, GPRS, EDGE support. For this mobile handset you can choose from Slate Gray, Night Blue, Orange and Violet colors. Finally it is expected to be on market in Q3 2008 and its price is expected to be 75 euro before taxes.

And the last newest phone of the Nokia, the Nokia 1680 classic is the successor of the Nokia 1650 which has a similar design. It seems to be the cheapest cameraphone up to date with a basic VGA camera offering video recording.
