The rumors of Nokia ditching Symbian OS and shaking hands with Maemo in the new N series, has now made Nokia say what it has long kept silence on.
The Maemo team has officially made an announcement that Nokia is signing a contract with them according to which from 2012 Nokia will just feature the Maemo OS on its devices, starting from the N-series lineup.
Nokia although too frustrated with all the fuss, has stated that the decision is totally premature and Nokia considers Symbian OS as a more powered feature for Smartphone’s while keeping Maemo restricted to those high-end devices.
Still now not clear as to what the real say is, but just now enjoy the Maemo OS and have a close look with the N900 preview posted already.
