This phone is build especially for sport lovers. It’s a phone by Adidas and Samsung cooperation and part of Adidas new miCoach system that is a web-based progress and analysis tool especially for running.

When we consider this phone as a mobile phone, it has some simplistic features like 2 megapixel camera, 1GB storage capability for your music in a music player combined with a stereo FM radio. However there is no information about memory card slot. The Adidas miCoach from Samsung is a slider phone with quad-band EDGE, GPRS and GSM support.

Although it doesn’t have very special fetures it will still be better than your average music player you take with you while doing sports with very unique sports tracking system fetures that are integrated to this Adidas phone.

First of all for starters you get a Adidas Heart Rate Monitor that monitors heart beat on your chest. Also you get Adidas Stride Sensor that you can clip to your sneakers laces and measure your running meters.

Finally information gathered from sensors is synced to your Adidas phone and this phone will give you real-time voice guidance during your sports based on your information. Also accelerometer in the Adidas phone enables you to hear your current run stats which include time, distance, pace, calories, stride and heart rate with a double-tap on the mobile phone.

After sports you can access to your miCoach website to update your reports. It would also help you make your own training programs according to your needs like losing weight, building up your stamina etc. As you can see Adidas miCoach is not for everyone but for the ones who are eager to make sports or sports lovers. Maybe this phone may help some of you to get started.

Samsung F110 is planned to be on both Adidas and Samsung stores after mid-March all around Europe.

The miCoach system will be available in two packages: the Standard one (miCoach phone, armband, stride sensor and HRM) or the Essential package (miCoach phone and armband only). You better start preparing as the miCoach system will hit Adidas and Samsung stores as well as select retail partners in Europe starting in mid-March 2008.
