Today another entry-level phone by partnership of Samsung and Verizon Wireless is announced. The Samsung U430 is a clamshell mobile phone with simple features. Although it has only limited speed CDMA which is 1x, it has also a Bluetooth. Also it has a Nite Shot snapper which is VGA and enables you to take pictures at low light.
Some of the additional features of the phone include; any answer key, bilingual user interface both Spanish and English, directional microphone, T9 Text input for easy text entry, any key answer, media center enabled powered by BREW 3.1.4, standalone mode which is available for usage in airplanes. Morever the Samsung U430 has Advanced Speech Recognition including Text-to-Speech for Menu Readout and SMS Readout.
Release date for the U430 is reported as Q3 in 2008 which should be available by October with Verizon Wireless contracts. However there isn’t any information about the price.
