Today Samsung announced members of its music loving handsets, the Beat family. Beat family has some familiar handsets like Samsung M3510 which was already showcased but it also includes newer handsets like the slider Samsung M3200. We will be able to publish some of the pictures of M3200 thanks to GSMArena who already had pre-release of the mobile phone in hand. Samsung M3200 is also known as Beat s.
Metallic slider with special music oriented keys, the Samsung M3200 beat is a classy music oriented handset. What does the letter s stands for is still a question mark anyways. However it is becoming popular of Samsung to give a letter names to their latest handsets.
Among the music-oriented features the Samsung M3200 has stereo loudspeakers, a 3.5mm audio jack. stereo Bluetooth, music player Shake control with the help of built-in accelerometer, a Bang&Olufsen ICEpower audio chip, and FM radio with RDS and audio recording. We don’t mention special keys for music control again.
As we mentioned before the Shake control that is called Motion Play is a unique feature in Samsung handsets but we already saw this on some Sony Ericcson Walkman mobile phones. Just to remind, it enables you to play or pause songs with a tap on the handset and mute the song by turning the phone face down. You can also change the song randomly just by shaking it.
Among the music oriented features, the Samsung Beat s allows you to sort your songs according to your mood by mood-based track sorting.
The Samsung M3200 Beat s also supports Samsung’s latest Digital Natural Sound engine technology (DNSe). According to Samsung it should provide more natural sound effects, overcoming the limitations of sound from earphones and small speakers in portable devices. Handsets with DNSe technology should be able to reproduce a genuine 3D sound and deep bass resonance.
Another unique feature in the M3200 Beat is the ‘Auto EQ’ function. It changes the current equalizer preset according to the genre and type of the music users listen to automatically.
As an addition to Walkman competing features, the Samsung Beat s has music recognition feature which is the Shazam’s “Find Music” service. If you record the song that you don’t know the name of and send it to Shazam server, you can learn the song name and artist very easily.
After all this music based features, the Samsung M3200 Beat s has quad-band GSM support, 2 megapixel camera and a 2″ QVGA display. There is also expandable memory up to 8GB with a microSD memory card.
The release date for the Samsung M3200 Beat s is thought to be in October 2008 but there is no information about its price tag.
Samsung M3510 is also called the Beat b
The Samsung M3510 as mentioned before was announced weeks ago and today renamed as Beat b which stands for the bar shaped style of 9.9mm. It’s got the same music features as the M3200 Beat s but it doesn’t have the Bang&Olufsen ICEpower audio chip. Among the other features it has 2″ QVGA display, 2 megapixel camera, quad-band GSM support, stereo Bluetooth of A2DP, FM radio with RDS.
The release date for the Samsung M3210 Beat is this month, September 2008 and its price tag will be available soon.
