Dear friends we’ve been hearing on the subject of the Samsung Blue Earth the eco-phone, if you will — ever since way back at MWC. Currently CNET’s finally got its hands over one at the CommunicAsia here in Singapore, and we want to say that we’re enough intrigued with that we’re seeing.

The backside of the phone is enclosed with a solar panel, the Samsung says those 60 minutes of sunning period for the mobile equal’s approx 10 minutes of the talk time.

The handset in addition has an inbuilt pedometer to count steps intended for the Eco Walk carbon footmarks app — certainly something potential shoppers of the Blue Earth could be interested in.

We till now don’t know full specs, cost or availability for the handset, but we’ll let you be acquainted with when we get it.
