Samsung is running the rumor mills yet again, and once again the hero is the S8000. And this time, it is powered by Android. Yes, the latest buzz is that the S8000 might be the first Android phone from Samsung’s locker.
The phone although still unannounced, went up for pre-order on Euroset.ru some time ago at a price of 470 Euros. Of course the Russian retailer removed the phone from their site soon since it was NOT available.
This beauty sports 5 MP cam with a dual LED flash, FM radio with RDS, a 3.5 mm audio jack, 2 gigs of internal memory, which you can increase with a microSD card, and a very sexy 16 million colors splashing on a 3.1 inch AMOLED touch screen display. Adding to the sexiness is the slim factor – the set is very slim at only 12mm. A host of connectivity options including Bluetooth 2.1, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS an USB make it a breeze to connect to any device that is worth a connection.
Another expected feature is Samsung’s new 3D interface (as indicated by the cube-like middle button).
There is no official announcement from Samsung as yet, but we think it is pretty official.
